Dolores Marie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother.

Dolores (DEE) Marie O'Doherty passed on December 5, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She leaves behind her Loving Husband, Brendan C. O'Doherty; daughters Theresa O'Doherty, Bridget O'Doherty; son, Brendan S. O'Doherty; and two grandchildren, Nathan O'Doherty and Brianna Datellas. Her family was with her on the day she entered the afterlife.

Our dearest mother was born in Valhalla, NY. From Grandmother Betty Pike, on Ocotber 8, 1948. She Graduated from North Syracuse High School, and went on to beauty school and became a hairdresser. She married my father in 1967, they've been married for 57 years. We’ve never seen a man love a woman as much as my father. He truly was there for her through the toughest of times, and best also.

She loved the beach, the color purple, and anything that had to do with Japanese culture. She loved her family and always worried. Never stopped being a mother till the end. She had an infectious laugh and sense of humor. She loved music, and comfy jammies, we never went a Christmas without, even when times were tough. She was an excellent decorator, she had an eye for detail and beauty. Truly, our Mother was our best friend, she cared when no one else didn't. We will miss our conversations, our laughs, and crying. Truly in our eyes, she was the best mother that could be and our best friend.
