Dawn Kathleen

Dawn Kathleen Sweeney, 54, of Clever, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at her home. Dawn was born on March 29, 1970 in Montclair, NJ; the daughter of Patricia Rochette. On July 18, 2003, in Key West, FL, she married Daniel Sweeney. He survives.

Also surviving is one brother, George Hosier; three sisters, Penny Rainey, Shelly Sippel, and Cindy Rochette; two nieces, Ashley Larson and Teresa Battle; and six nephews, Spencer Perryman, Kyle Perryman, Kasey Sippel, John Lear, Austin Hosier, and Brandon Hosier.

Dawn had an open heart full of love for her family, friends, and all those close to her. She had a way of lighting up every room she entered while making those around her comfortable by putting a smile on their faces. She loved to spend time crafting, traveling, reading, having fun, and especially hanging out with her family.

Dawn had a special connection with nature. She was always most at home in the sun and around the water, loving her time on the beaches, rivers, and even the pool. Dawn enjoyed boating and kayaking, which kept her close to the natural world. Her connection with nature extended to animals, as well. Her appreciation of sea and land life was captivating; it was as if she could talk to the animals, be they manatees, dolphins, horses, or even cows.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Family & friends are invited to a Memorial on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 12:00-4:00 PM at 11870 W.Waterway Dr. Homosassa, FL 34448, Dawn's "home away from home." Arrangements are in the care of Southwest Cremation, Springfield, Missouri.
